B&A Woodworks is an American family small business located in the central Pennsylvania town of Tyrone. The majority of the lumber we use is sustainably harvested within a 50-mile radius of our shop. In fact, most of our lumber comes from a mill only about one mile away. We work mainly in red oak, white oak, cherry, maple, and walnut. Other woods are available as well.
We strive to be the very best, not the fastest nor the cheapest. Our furniture is truly handmade to order and built to last. We construct our pieces almost entirely from genuine American solid wood. We will use veneer-grade plywood where the application calls for it. We hand select all of our wood and join it using time-proven joinery. All of our drawers are solid wood and dovetailed.
